Hello and welcome to SugarStats. We’re a new company with some great ideas that we hope to get out and usable very soon. You’ve read the intro on the main paid, so I won’t go into great detail about what SugarStats will do.

I’d also like to introduce myself so you can get a bit familiar with the person writing these posts and fill you in on the origins of SugarStats. I’m Marston Alfred, lead developer and creator of SugarStats. SugarStats grew out of a personal project and need of my own as I wasn’t happy with the current options for online bloodsugar management (basically none).

I’ve been a Type 1 diabetic for over 16 years and I’ve been very passionate about this project and how others could find it useful. I’ve also been frustrated with the some of the diabetic management software out there and the software that comes with blood glucose meters. They seem overly complex and inundate you with a lot of data I never needed. All this plus there were no online solutions that I could find and I really wanted something with a mobile aspect to it which I could use basically anywhere and wasn’t tied down to a single application.

So that was my initial drive for creating what I now call SugarStats. And as I am a web designer, developer and network engineer by day I though who better else to build it but me? So I created the initial program and though much has changed and been added since then the concept stays the same.

I quickly realized many other people could benefit from this as it was generating much interest from the people I showed it to. So we are in the progress of upgrading that, adding more features and making it secure and stable enough to bring to the masses. I have a great team of experts and developers to help make this happen and we’re gaining great support from the diabetic community.

We do though have some great features planned that will all be wrapped in a clean, usable and easy to use interface. Things like bloodsugar, medication, food and activity tracking, statistics and graphs you can actually make sense out of, easy sharing of this information and much more will all available via any modern web browser and a range of mobile devices.

Come back here periodically or sign up on the homepage to get new status updates. There will be much more news and SugarStats developments to post in the future, thanks.
