New Feature: Improved Printing

Tuesday, May 8th, 2007

One of the main things when sharing info is having different mediums to do it with. We’ve always had printing of pages in SugarStats to compliment sharing your stats with others via TrustedVue, now we’ve made it much better.

SugarStats.com - Improved Diabetes Statistics Printing.

Via Print CSS we’ve streamlined and designed the new prints to cut out as much white space as possible while still getting the stats you need there in a clear and easy to read manner.

All the elements of the webpage that don’t need to be printed disappear (such as the sidebar and headers). You can simply print any page as it is and get a clean and clear print.

You can take a look for yourself, just make a print! If you want to save ink you can also do a “Print Preview” directly from your browser (via the file menu and print boxes) to see it.

Added: SugarStats Blog Development Category

Tuesday, March 6th, 2007

We were doing a lot of work and tweaking before the private BETA launch, but now with all the great feedback there is even more.

So we decided to add a new category in our blog to tell you all about new developments, major bug fixes and new directions etc. A place where we can get a little more geeky than usual. This way we can get the word out not only to our testers but also give a glimpse to the public at large about new things happening development wise.

So if this is something you’d like to keep up on, make sure you’re subscribed to our RSS feed.

SugarStats.com private BETA going strong

Monday, March 5th, 2007

Happy Face

I just wanted to say a week after launching the private BETA that things are going great and we’re getting some excellent feedback on the system. People are loving it and like what they can do with it. Since announcing the private BETA we’ve more than quadrupled our traffic and unique visitors. Needless to say now we definitely have our hands full ;-)

I want to give big thanks to all the people who were willing to test it out for us and give such excellent feedback, we couldn’t of done it without you. Keep the comments coming and posting in the forum.

A cool thing I wanna work on putting up is maybe some “community wide” generic diabetes stats and graphs to put up on the home page, I think this would kinda be cool. Keep an eye out! :-)

SugarStats 2006 in Review and 2007 to come

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

2006 has definitely been a great year for us over here. Even without being launched yet, so much has happened and it is all materializing into reality which is a great thing.

We’ve had the plans and ideas to create SugarStats for literally a few years. I spent a while sitting on the idea and let it evolve in my thoughts until I finally decided to go after my goals and passions and get things started. That was about April 2006 so we’ve been in development for a good 9 months and have come quite a long way.

So soon within the next few weeks we’re hoping to get the private beta tester stage started and iterate/evolve SugarStats even more. We’re gonna try to kick off 2007 with a blast and hopefully provide something of value to the Diabetic community. Thanks to all those who have sent in feedback, their thoughts and suggestions. Its very much appreciated so keep it coming! info at sugarstats dot com ;)

Stay tuned and take care. :-)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all. Take care of yourselves this holiday season and watch those sugars!

TechAddress Interviews SugarStats

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

Tim over at TechAddress did a quick interview with me regarding SugarStats.com, what its about, progress in development etc.

“We had the opportunity to speak with Marston Alfred, the founder of SugarStats.com. To say the least, they have some extremely exciting endeavors going on and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to speak with Mr. Alfred and learn more about SugarStats.”

The exposure is definitely welcome as is the chance to tell even more people what we’re about.
